First half earnings poor-to-mixed as RE firms take stock of credit crunch
European property firms reported poor-to-mixed first-half results in the summer break,
stemming mostly from lower portfolio valuations. Net losses were reported but rental income
held up, and eastern Europe showed only marginal impact from the credit crunch.
