Demand for Spanish homes rose 33% in July - portal
Despite the slowing economy and global credit crunch, one of Spain's largest property search engines said around 1.6m people were looking to buy or rent a flat in July, 33% more than in July 2007. Nevertheless, the surge could be due to people having more free time during the summer to search for deals amid an overall decline in prices.
