Spain's struggling Colonial swings to 1H loss but says nearing debt deal
Troubled Spanish property group Colonial, battling bankruptcy and effectively owned by the banks, reported a first half loss of e2.4bn compared to a net profit of e316m a year ago, after charges for slumping asset values due to the crisis in the Spanish real estate market. But it said is has reached a preliminary deal on its debt.
