Italy signs e15bn EIB infrastructure financing facility
The European Investment Bank and the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure have signed an agreement to provide e15bn for public works up to 2012, financing projects outlined in Italy's 10-year strategic plan, including the high-speed rail line from Turin to Lyons, the Mose dam project in Venice, the Turin-Lyons motorway, and completion of the Salerno-Reggio Calabria freeway.
