Next part of French government e1.8bn housing plan in parliament tomorrow
The French government continues to seek ways to support the housing market, in particular to prevent widespread layoffs that would hit the economy hard. President Nicolas Sarkozy in December announced an economic recovery plan that would allocate an additional e1.8bn to home building. One important element will be the review of the Urban Renewal Program launched in 2003. A new Urban Planning Law will be submitted to the National Assembly parliament tomorrow.
