Spanish housing's year of living dangerously may turn later this year
2008 will be remembered not only as the year of living dangerously for Spanish real estate but also as a period when two years were compressed into one, says Mikel Echavarren, CEO of Madrid real estate mergers and acquisitions advisor IREA tells PFE in an interview. The key housing market may already have reached the base of the cycle, and could begin recovery this year. "We should be asking ourselves, not if there is a light at the end of the tunnel, which there is, but about its duration and the possibility of it being shorter than our fears and gloom would have us believe."
