German open RE funds to press for changes in legislation
German open-end funds are to lobby the government of Chancellor Angela Merkel to modify the Investment Law to help manage and try to prevent sudden runs on capital that forced the closures in October, most of which were extended last month. The federal Investment Funds Association (BVI) said its board has unanimously decided to press for legislation on three main points.
