Unibail-Rodamco posts recurring EPS rise in 2008, 11% fall in NAV

French-Dutch REIT Unibail-Rodamco, Europe's largest listed real estate company, reported a rise of 8.4% in recurring earnings per share for 2008, to e8.52, though the crisis took its toll on asset values, bringing NAV at year end down 10.7% to e151.2 per share. Its share price was last trading around e112. The group has a property portfolio worth e24.6bn, and at end-2008 owned and managed 888 shopping centres, up from 529 a year earlier, 228 office properties, up from 179, and 99 convention centres, up from 63. Net rental income last year reached e1.22bn, a rise of 8.5%.
