Colony Capital in talks with Orco on taking majority in capital increase
CEE development group Orco has entered into exclusive negotiations with Colony Capital on a reserved capital increase that would give it control. In partnership with Orco founder Jean-François Ott, Colony is considering reinforcing Orco equity by e25m by end-2Q09 and by an additional e140m at the end of the protection from creditors period opened by the Paris Commercial Court on 25 March. Colony would take 60%-70% in Orco while Ott would also subscribe, raising his stake from 1.6%, and remain CEO.
