Spain's Afirma, former Astroc, to close e1.4bn refinancing by end July
Valencia-based Afirma, formerly Astroc Mediterraneo, aims to conclude refinancing of its e1.4bn debt at end-July, gaining relief from debt amassed by former management. Founder Enrique Banuelos floated property developer Astroc in May 2006 and its share rocketed 12 times in value before crashing after doubts over its business model and management. Spain's wealthiest man, Inditex founder Amancio Ortega, took a 5% stake.
