Unibail-Rodamco earnings rise 8%, but loss on write-downs
The Franco-Dutch REIT Unibail-Rodamco boosted recurring earnings by 7.8% in the first half and 4.5% like-for-like in net rental income. But write-downs of e1.76bn, mostly in France and Spain, brought a massive loss of e1.32bn. CEO Guillaume Poitrinal said the slower business was in line with expectations but he noted some pickup activity in June.
