HRE unit DPB places first post-crisis mortgage Pfandbrief, at e1.5bn
After a roadshow around major financial capitals, Deutsche Pfandbrief, the financing subsidiary of the near-nationalised Hypo Real Estate, in mid-September successfully placed its first Jumbo Pfandbrief covered bond, e1.5bn in volume, since the upheaval caused by the group's near collapse amid the global financial crisis. The paper marks the institute's first public issue for more than a year and was three times oversubscribed.
