French ILAT index inclusion in budget declared unconstitutional
The French constitutional council has blocked the inclusion of the new ILAT real estate rental index in the country's 2010 budget law. The ILAT index (Index of Rents in Tertiary Activities) was launched to replace an indicator based purely on building costs and raw material prices, which have soared in recent years and distorted rent levels.
