Deloitte's Drivers Jonas takeover may boost continental Europe property market share
The takeover of realtor Drivers Jonas by one of the Big Four accountancy firms Deloitte, announced this week, is unlikely to have much immediate impact on the two firms' continental European operations, and may over the longer term boost market share of the combined group in the sector, sources said. The firms announced that Deloitte is to acquire the 285-year-old property advisor Drivers Jonas, but gave no financial details. In France, Chris Armon-Jones, president of the Drivers Jonas unit, will retain his position. (See upcoming PIE editions for full story)
