Foreign banks, US legislators looking at Pfandbrief issuance-VDP's Tolckmitt
Because of the comparative stability of the Pfandbrief German covered bond amid the global crisis, foreign banks are considering issuing the real estate funding instrument in Germany, says the Managing Director of the German Pfandbrief Bank association. Jens Tolckmitt also told PIE in an interview that US legislators are looking closely at the German model wilth a legislative framework to see if it is suitable to aid the ailing US real estate sector.
