Allianz said on brink of E670m Rome, Paris acquisitions
Germany's insurance giant Allianz is reported to be cooperating with Dutch listed shopping centre group Corio to acquire Porta di Roma mall in Rome for about E430m, and has also agreed to buy the Paris headquarters of investment bank Rothschild for E243m. Bloomberg News, drawing on sources familiar with both transactions, reported that Allianz and Corio each plan to buy half of Porta di Roma mall, Italy's largest, located on the northern outskirts of the Italian capital. The 121,000 sq.m. Porta di Roma is owned via a joint venture of Grupo Lamaro and Parsitalia Real Estate - having 60% in total - and a holding combining US-based Simon Property and France's family-owned supermarket chain Auchan, the mall's largest tenant.
