Germany's Aareal to boost new lending, not only extensions
Germany's Aareal bank will boost new business, including credit extensions, to as much as E5bn this year from E3.8bn in 2009 and intends to act in an anti-cyclical manner in markets such as UK, where it will offer refinancing for CMBS. But CEO Wolf Schumacher told a news conference: "2010 is going to be just as challenging as 2009."
