Smith to succeed Backlund as Aberdeen property head
Rickard Backlund is to step down as head of Aberdeen Property Investors and will be succeeded by Andrew Smith, head of investment strategy for the property activities of the Aberdeen Asset Management group since 2002. Smith will become Group Head of Property. The UK-based group, headed by CEO Martin Gilbert, intends to more closely integrate its £22.6bn property activities.
