Gecina-Metrovacesa: Soon to be a major TV mini-series?
It reads like a story out of Dynasty or Dallas, those shoulder-padded 1980s tales of skullduggery and oil, mainly set in Texas. The saga of the takeover of French REIT Gecina by Spain's Metrovacesa a few years ago, soon followed by the near-demise of the Madrid listed company - and then the strange manoeuvres of Joaquin Rivero at the helm of the French group - could yet make a great business thriller à la Wall Street III, if not a TV mini-series.
