European mortgage arrears stable but may worsen - Fitch
Arrears on European housing mortgages are down or stable across most jurisdictions, with the best performance in the Netherlands and worst in UK, Ireland and Spain, says rating agency Fitch. However, principal prepayments by homeowners are declining and the agency is concerned weak economies could bring deterioration on both fronts. (See upcoming PIE Editions for full story)
