Paris abolishes 37 metre height restriction
The Paris city authority has voted to allow construction of large tower blocks, removing a 37-metre height limit in place since 1977. Office towers of up to 180 metres and residential buildings of up to 50 metres will be allowed areas on the edges of the city.
