Atrium-Citycon merger closer on Gazit moves
A merger of Amsterdam-based Atrium European Real Estate and Finland's Citycon, listed retail property firms controlled by Israeli group Gazit-Globe, now looks more probable after unconfirmed reports prior to year end that this is being considered and the resignation of Citycon's long-time CEO Petri Olkinuora. Gazit Chairman Chaim Katzmann seems to be reversing strategy.
