Rivero to face insider trading charges in Madrid court
Joaquín Rivero, former head of Spain's Metrovacesa and of French SIIC Gecina, is to appear in court in Madrid on 2 February to face charges of insider trading. Spain's anti-corruption agency alleges Rivero misused privileged information in a purchase of Metrovacesa shares in 2005. Rivero also faces two Metrovacesa lawsuits for embezzlement of E50m.
