Blackstone RE mega-fund not yet registered - sources
US private equity group Blackstone has yet to register documents for a new $10bn real estate fund but its launch, if it comes, would mark the largest property mega-fund since the global crisis, say industry sources. CEO Tony James said Blackstone expects to start fundraising for Blackstone Real Estate Partners VII for around $10bn, and sees rising activity in Europe.
