10% of German houses said better to demolish
Renovation is not cost-effective for every 10th house in Germany so that demolition and subsequent new construction is often cheaper, according to an alliance of construction, tenant and property associations and construction union IG Bau. Subsidies and tax incentives for sustainable building should therefore be increased and widened to new construction.
