New German law may extend pre-REITs for 1yr
The Bundestag lower house of the German Parliament will soon decide on an amendment of real estate investment trust law to allow pre-REITs a one-year extension to launch an IPO and qualify for full status. A spokesman for one firm directly affected, Munich's Prime Office, said the environment for property IPOs has now become more favourable.
