Since 2006, it has invested ¤2bn in European real estate across various asset classes. Mr. Burns is CEO, responsible for strategic and business development. He previously worked as MD at Terra Firma Capital Partners where he focused on infrastructure, credit and German residential real estate transactions. Prior to this, he worked for Goldman Sachs.

Mr. Groom heads a 90-person valuation and due diligence team, working on portfolio transactions. He also led development of the VICTOR prime office indicator, and is responsible for key clients, business acquisition, portfolio strategy and risk assessment. With over 20 years’ experience, he has been based in Germany since 1992 and previously worked with other major realtors in Europe.

The Skjerven group is a German residential fund initiator and asset manager focused on Berlin that demerged from Industrifinans in June 2012 and has expanded into investment management and brokerage. Mr. Skjerven, founder and CEO, was for seven years (1998 - 2005) CEO of Industrifinans Naeringseiendom, a Norwegian stock-listed group focused on hotel, retail-, office- and residential investments in Norway, Sweden and the Baltic states. Prior to that, he was founder and board member of listed residential investor Industrifinans Boligeiendom in Norway.

Founded by Mr. Smethurst in 2008 as Dolphin Capital, rebranded Dolphin Trust is one of the top five developers in Germany and market leader in listed building refurbishment. With the acquisition of SFG Immobilien in 2011, and with four locations in Germany and partner offices in Ireland, UK, US and Switzerland, its track record now stands at over ¤1.5bn. Mr. Smethurst has over 20 years' experience in property development and financial services. Before that, he held leadership positions in an international trading company.
