About RICS
Created in 1868 in the United Kingdom, RICS - the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors - is the global membership organisation representing professionals working in property, construction and associated environmental issues. It received a royal charter in 1881.
RICS qualified members are known as chartered surveyors, entitled to using 'MRICS' or 'FRICS' after their name. RICS members rely on a truly international network of over 140,000 members in more than 120 countries
By setting standards and regulating the profession, RICS has become the mark of property professionalism worldwide.
Created in 1993 and based in Brussels, RICS Europe is the European headquarters and represents the 17 European National Associations.
