Boston-based Beacon is a real estate investment firm led by Alan Leventhal. Since inception in 1998 it has sponsored seven investment vehicles representing over $11bn equity from endowments, foundations and pension funds. The firm invests via closed-end commingled funds, and management also invests alongside clients. M. Besson was MD of Hammerson France from 2001 to 2006, responsible for a ¤2.2bn real estate portfolio and operations. He previously held finance positions in France at McDonald’s, Daimler Benz and Ford. M. Besson holds a Master's degree in Corporate Finance and Financial Engineering from Paris-Dauphine University.
